Countless people in the United States are addicted. Whether ad-dicted to alcohol, illegal drugs, prescription drugs, food, sex, or a com-bination of these substances/activities, they face the task of living their lives free of addiction. While numerous in-patient programs and twelve-step support groups help addicted persons to become and re-main &dquo;clean and sober&dquo; (Finnegan & Gray, 1990; Ray & Ksir, 1990), once addicted persons stop using their &dquo;drug of choice,&dquo; they are faced with the difficult task of finding new behaviors to replace the ad-dictive ones.
