Physiol. 28(4): 519-523. 1970-Recording of elec-trical impulses directly from branches of the left bundle has been accomplished in the intact dog by fluoroscopic placement of pre-shaped electrode catheters in proximity to the left bundle branches. Impulses temporally identical with His bundle activity recorded at the rim of the tricuspid valve were recorded in the region immedi-ately above and below the posterior cusp of the aortic valve. Elec-trical pacing of the latter region resulted in QRS complexes of supraventricular form. During catheter exploration of the left interventricular septum, activation of Purkinje fibers in the anterior and posterior false tendons in the interpapillary muscle region was identified. His to Q conduction times were 25-40 msec, constant in each animal, while bundle branch to Q intervals ranged from 10 to 25 msec, dependent on distance from the bifurcation of th
