This paper presents the results of an investigation into the potential use of laterite as fine aggregate in foamed concrete production.The influence of varying the proportion of laterite addition on the free flowing characteristic and the compressive strength properties of foamed concrete were determined. The results obtained show a decrease in free flowing capacity of the foamed concrete with increase in laterite content. The spread values obtained at w/c of 0.7 were 580 mm, 547 mm, 460 mm, 210 mm and 0 mm for 0%, 10%, 20%, 30 % and 40% laterite contents respectively.
