Despite their close anatomical relationship, orbital complications rarely occur during otorhinolaryngology operations. The well-known complication is the orbital injury during endoscopic sinus surgery. Procedures such as tonsillectomy or sinus surgery limited to the ostium widening rarely induce such an injury.
