TITLE Determining the Relationship of Nursing Test Scores and Test Anxiety Levels before and after a

A study was conducted to determine whether participation in a test-taking strategy seminar significantly decreased test anxiety in first-year nursing students. The study also sought to compare nursing test scores of first-year nursing students who participated in the seminar with those who did not. The sample consisted of 30 first-year nurz;ing students enrolled at a Southern California community college. Experimental and control groups were randomly drawn. A Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI) was administered to the control and experimental groups prior to and after taking the 3-Hour seminar on test-taking strategies. Each nursing student completed two nursing tests prior to the first TAI and two nursing tests after the second TAI. The scores were analyzed and compared for both the experimental and control groups.
