One way to obtain the sharp peaks in the np~pn and pp-7nJ'I differential cross-section data is to assume there are opposite parity partners of exchange-degenerate n • and B~meson trajectories. The residues of these parity doublets can be chosen so that physical partners of the n and B are absent. The invariant amplitudes, free from. kinematic singularities, are constructed in Veneziano representation to show conspiracy relations in helicity amplitudes for isotopic spin 1=0 and 1=1 demanded by the forward peak in experimental da/dt. Since parity partners p and A 1, do not exist in nature, the usual · Regge contribution due to exchange-deg!!nerate p and Aa exchange is employed, reducing thereby the number of param· eters in residues and ...
