Understanding how individuals with disabilities experience their lived world in relation to assistive devices is a prerequi-site for enhancing their participation and quality of life. The purpose of this study was to explore how people with a dis-ability following a stroke described their personal meaning and lived experiences associated with the use of assistive devices.
