Abstract: The aim of the article is to investigate the issue of transnational family networks and informal social protection among Turkish migrants living in Germany. By sharing not only emotional and personal matters, but also goods, services, social activities and financial remittances, transnational family networks extend beyond the households of origin to members of the extended families in other countries.
