ABSTRACT. The charge-transfer complexes formed between some different metal 2,4-pentadionato complexes and π-electron acceptor (picric acid, PA) are synthesized and characterized. Spectral characteristics and stability of the com-plexes are investigated and discussed in terms of donor molecular structure and π-acceptor at room temperature in chlo-roform. The results indicate the formation of 1:1 charge-transfer complexes with a general formula, [M(acac)n(PA)
