One of the biggest challenges facing managers today is learning how to effectively lead a multigenerational work-force. Currently, many organizations have four generations of employees working alongside one another. Employees from different generations may have varying expectations of what they want (or “value”) from the workplace, both from an intrinsic and extrinsic standpoint, and therefore may approach work, and how they prefer to be motivated, differently.
