Sources of water pollution are found in industries, municipalities, individual action, and agriculture. Damage to health, recreation, esthetics, fishing, agriculture, and water supplies are some of the results of water pollution. The present situation is assessed in terms of potential controls, nutrient enrichment, toxicity levels, waste heat, gove.nmental programs, monitoring, and the special problems of agriculture.
