Nonpeptidic -opioid agonists produce a number of behaviors, such as antidepressant-like effects, locomotor stimulation, an-tinociception, and convulsions. To consider this class of com-pounds as potential therapeutics for humans, the effects of -opioid agonists after repeated administration must be evalu-ated.
