percutaneous transluminal septal myocardial abla-tion (PTSMA) has been recently introduced as a nonsurgical treatment for symptomatic hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).8-11 This procedure enlarges the narrow LVOT by injection of ethanol, causing necrosis of the hypertrophied septum and confers symptomatic improvement. In this article, we report on 3 patients with HOCM who were suffering from PAF refractory to medical treatment. Successful PTSMA not only improved their symptoms associ-ated with LV intracavity obstruction but also signifi-cantly decreased the frequency of PAF episodes
