ross –layer design has been widely used in wireless sensor networks,especially to improve the network lifetime,as can be seen in the literature.In this paper,a cross-layer solution is combined to a transmission advertisement sheme to improve a small slotted ALOHA-based wireless sensor network throughput and lifetime.This medium access method scheme has been chosen because it does not add protocol information that is transmitted with data bits,when compare to other medium access methods it reducing transmission overhead.Finally,the advertisement scheme and the combination of a cross-layer design has proven to increase the network throughput by more than 10 % and when compared to a slotted ALOHA wireless sensor network advertisements,then it ...
