The occuirrence and properties of polyglutamyl derivatives of folic acid (FA) obtained from biological sources have been reported (Stokstad, 1954). Recently, the fractionation of boiled cell extracts of Clostridium cylindrosporum resulted in the separation of seveiral pteridine poly-glutamates which differ in composition from any previously described (Wriight, 1955). We wish to report upon the microbiological activities of two triglutamyl deIrivatives of pteridines which are analogous in structuie to citrovorum factoi (CF) and N' ° formylfolic acid (N'OFA). The properties of the diglutamyl FA derivative (pteroyldiglutamylglutamic acid, teropteiin) have been desciibed previously (Stokstad, 1954)
