This manuscript presents outcomes related to a segmental or regional clamping techniqueunder the guidance of dual-source computed tomography angiography. A total of 125 patients underwent partial nephrectomy (PN) by a single surgeon using this innovative technique to reduce global warm ischemia in the operated kidney and thereby improve renal functional outcomes. The authors confirm the feasibility of the procedure and report that the number of clamped branches required to perform the procedure correlated with tumor characteristics and ultimate renal function.
