Few published data are available to support the development and management of health services for refugees in developed countries, despite evidence that refugees are at high risk of suffering a wide range of both physical and mental health problems. Meeting the health needs of increasing numbers of refugees worldwide in culturally acceptable and ®nancially feasible ways is a key challenge to our healthcare systems.
