EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY OF HIGHER EDUCATION SECTOR IN KASHMIR

Employee Engagement is one of the latest terminologies that have gained enormous attention from academic scholars. Employee engagement directly impacts the employee productivity. The most productive employees, whose work is valuable and pleasing both for them as well as for the organization they work for are called, engaged. The paper aims to find the level of engagement among the faculty at the university level. The current study investigates the impact of demographic factors like gender and age on their level of engagement. The results indicate the level of Engagement among the university level faculty members is highly engaged. However, there is no significant difference across their gender and age, but there is little difference across their level of experience, with more experience exhibiting a bit high level of engagement than their junior colleagues
