Ubiquitous connectivity has become normal in today’s society. However, it is a two-edged sword bringing about positive and also negative side-effects. To be connected is a prerequisite in distributed teams in order to work efficiently and productive, yet there are times when project members suffer from too much or a lack of connectivity to fulfil their tasks. Little is known, though, about changes between the different states of connectivity, i.e. hyper-, hypo-, and requisite connectivity in project teams, and the triggers that cause such changes.
