Landscape assessment is the analysis of the evolution of a landscape, an examination of the basic natural and human processes with ecological interrelationships which jointly shape that landscape and determine values for its uses. This paper is an assessment of the landscape of Ogudu-Oworonshoki development prone area on the north-east of Lagos Metropolis. It utilized the analytical tool of ArcGIS with topographic maps and Ikonos imagery to examine changes in the land use/land cover of the area over a period of 40 years from 1965 to 2004.
