This paper presents a nutritional model for front-line health workers. The recommendations are simple and inexpensive and methods for prevention and treatment of some nutritional disorders are described. The term "front-line health worker " describes non-professional health personnel who carry out front-line curative, protective, and promotive tasks within health care delivery systems. Professional personnel such as physicians and nurses may also carry out primary health care functions but are usually referred to by their professional designation, like for example, nutritionist, doctor, nurse and so on.
