A patient with primary multiple cerebral hydatid cysts was treated with albendaxole. The daily dose was 10 n&g, taken 3 times a day with main meals, in 4 one-month courses separated by intervals of 15 days. Computerized tomography did not reveal any cerebral cysts at the end of therapy; complete calcification was observed at the sites of previous cysts 12 months later. Albendaxole was very well tolerated. The results of therapy suggest hat albendaxole is a valuable contribution to the treatment of cerebral hydatid cysts
