For this reason, the Ethiopian Federal Police Counter-Narcotic Division (EFPCND) to prevent and combat the illicit drug production, trafficking and consumption within the country, was established. From the researcher‘s experience in the Ethiopian Federal Police he identified that there are shortcomings in the prevention mechanisms of the Federal Police in terms of the policing of drugs.
