The principles of selecting the basic elements of the plant are shown. The impact of a high constant price on the profitability of the project is highlighted. Characteristic of a building The case study has been based on a solar power plant project located on the roof of a multi-family residential building. The building in question is located in the Pomorskie Voivodeship, Poland. It has a flat roof with 15 % of its area occupied by other systems, including ventilation exhaust and lightning rods. Lightning rods protect antenna systems, but they do not ensure full protection for the solar panels. For this reason the lightning protection system requires an upgrade. 1.2.
