Thirty-four current worksite health promotion programs were studied in order to obtain comprehensive information about various compo-nents involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of existing programs, and to acquire the necessary data to develop a theory and corre-sponding hypotheses pertaining to successful worksite health promotion programs. The case study method was achieved through semi-structured personal interviews with a corporate representative from each company. A survey form instrument developed in 1982 by Janet A.
