Increasing globalization means that more and more companies must send employees and their families to other countries. Yet, recent research shows that a high percentage of these assignments end in failure. This study extends current research in this area by focusing on the factors that contribute to more effective management of the expatriate process — from the selection of an employee, to the return of that employee to his or her original "home. " The paper will be useful to people considering an overseas assignment, as well as companies who are interested in more effectively managing their expatriate cycle. C^H^m^
