Sensitivity of Total Indices for Economic Weighing of Traits

362 German HF sires were used to analyze the effect of different weighing in total economic indices (TEI) on sire ranking and selection differentials. Traits i;clud=ed in the TEIs were subindices for milk production (fat-kg, protein-kg), udderhealth (som. cell count),-reproduction (non return 90, stillbirth " calvhg ease/6 proofs), herdtife (funct.survival), and conformation (type, udder). 8 TEIs were defined, covering an econornic scenario from 100 % for milkproducuon to 20o/ " for each of the 5 subindices.
