v-ets erythroblastosis virus E26 oncogene homolog 1 (avian) (Ets-1) is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors that share a unique Ets DNA binding domain. They control a wide variety of cellular processes including cell proliferation and differentiation. Recently, two genome-wide association studies in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) independently identified genetic variants in Ets-1 associated with SLE.
