Dramatic changes during the last two decades demand immediate reevaluation of educational goals with the aim of promoting world peace and international understanding. Significant advances have already been made by international organizations such as UNESCO, UNICEF, and the World University; by national groups such as the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), the North Central Association, Education and World Affairs, and the Education Materials Laboratory; and by programs conducted at college and university, regional, state, and local levels.
