If a student's perception of his environment affects his behavior in it, the college should have a measure of it as additional data for educational decisions. This would be added to the student's personal data file already maintained by the college, and used in developing new, programs and policies; in self-study; to compare with normative data; to clarify direction of change; for selection of students; 'to inform prospective students,.parents, and high school counselors; to determine maximal student environment: and to note influerices of student/environment interaction.
