Developing a 3D turbulence-resolving numerical model for fine sediment transport in the oscillatory boundary layer in order to understand how turbulence-sediment interactions can determine the state of muddy seabed (transport modes). 2. Studying the attenuation of turbulence due to the presence of sediment via the interplay between sediment-induced density stratification and enhanced viscosity (rheological stress). 3.
