This paper presents a novel architecture to implement general-purpose fuzzy chips. It allows fully-parallel rule processing employing a reduced number of mixed-signal com-puting blocks and minimum-sized digital memories. The resulting fuzzy processor can in-teract directly with continuous sensors and actuators and subsequent digital processing system
