The constant Voltage-Frequency ratio (V/F) scalar control method is widely used in industries as speed control method for three-phase Induction Motors Drive (IMD). This paper presents an implementation of fuzzy logic-based controller (FLC) to improve the performance of V/F control for three-phase IMD. The Mamdani FLC is designed with the help of MATLAB/Simulink with two inputs, one output and 49 rules. The two inputs of the FLC are the error and change in error. The output is the frequency correction which is provided to a voltage source PWM inverter-fed. Each input and output function is defined by five triangular and two trapezoidal membership functions and Centroid defuzzification method is applied. As well as an adaptive fuzzy PI contro...
