The consistency by which shared abilities are assessed on three intelligence tests was investigated. Instruments under consideration include: the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised, the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children, and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition. A list. of shared abilities and the subtests measuring them was developed for each test. Of the 52 shared abilities, 15 (29%) were measured by all three tests, 9 (17%) were measured by two of the tests, and 28 (54%) were measured by only one instrument.
