A total of 25 patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) were included in the study. Patients received statin (20 mg daily) postoperatively for 2 weeks. All analyses were performed at 2 different time points: preoperatively (group 1) and 2 weeks after operation (group 2). Interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1), tumor necrosis factor a (TNF-a), tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) levels, and tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) were evaluated.
