ADHD has a profound effect on interpersonal relationships, as students with ADHD are often less well liked (Canu, Newman, Morrow, & Pope, 2008), form less intimate rela-tionships, and have fewer dyadic friends (Hoza et al., 2005). At the same time, they are more likely to have had casual sex and to engage in other risky sexual behaviors (Flory, Molina, Pelham, Gnagy, & Smith, 2006). Although there appears to be a distinction between casual relationships and long-term close relationships, the role of the inattentive and hyperactive subtypes in the sexual relationships and atti-tudes of those with symptoms of ADHD is less well under-stood.
