Neat Synthesis and Anti-oxidant Activity of α-Hydroxyphosphonates

A simple efficient and neat synthesis of α-hydroxy phosphonates has been accomplished from aromatic/ heterocyclic aldehydes and diethyl phosphite using KHSO4 as a catalyst under solvent-free conditions at ambient temperature.
