s we celebrate Biological Research for Nursing’s (BRN) 10th year of publication, we would like to share with you some of the highlights of the journal’s history. In the late 1980s, nurse-biologists and nurse-physiologists began a conversation about the need for a journal focused on their contributions to nursing science. By the late 1990s, collaboration between these nurses and Sage Publications led to the birth of BRN. Issue 1:1 was published in July 1999 under the able leadership of Drs.
