The research was conducted to find out factors that informed second cycle students ’ choices of programmes of study and career in the Kumasi Metropolis of Ghana. The descriptive survey was used for the study, and both questionnaire and interview guide were used in gathering the data. The questionnaire was administered on the students while the Coordinators and the heads of the selected institutions were interviewed. A total of 432 subjects was used for the study. Out of this number, 420 were students, 6 were Guidance Coordinators, and 6 were Heads of Institutions.
