This study sought to determine the current status of programs in universities in the United States that offer doctoral degrees in education administration/leadership and to identify recent trends in educational leadership programming. The 127 institutions (of 194 invited to participate) responded to a survey and provided data on admissions criteria, orientation activities, instructional delivery patterns, and program exit criteria. A summary profile describing the typical doctoral degree program in educational administration/leadership was developed using this baseline data.
