The aim of this study was to describe the common presentation, frequency, and complications of Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) in patients <18 years who were followed up at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah over the last 12 years. We performed a retrospective chart review of the medical records of all patients diagnosed as HSP. During this period, only 29 cases were re-ported (15 males, 14 females), with the mean age at the diagnosis 7.5 years. 82 % percent of the patients had joint involvement in the form of arthritis or arthralgia; 17.2 % had no joint involve-ment.
