Pott puffy tumor is almost always associated with an outward extension of suppurative acute frontal si-nusitis. Pathogenesis includes osteomyelitis of the frontal bone with local spread of the infection to the outer cortex and termination of the suppurative proc-ess in a frontal subgaleal abscess.
