The actual profile of the screw compressor rotor and its engaged clearance have a great effect on the volumetric efficiency, and also on the noise, thus affecting the economy of the compressor to a great extent. The paper describes the dynamic measurement in connection with the working process of the compre~ sor, and the inspection and analysis of the whole rotor profile and the engaged clearance. The results of the research on the relationship between the inspection data, the mating design, the techno-logy and the performance are also mentioned.
