Book Reviews Program Evaluation: Forms and Approaches,

Because I work with behavioral scientists, not evaluators, I am always looking for a &dquo;little&dquo; (read, few pages) book providing a good overview of evaluation, the various views / models of evaluation and a &dquo;map&dquo; of evaluation. Over the years, there have been numerous attempts that, although providing valuable and sound information, for me, have fallen short of that one single book I can give my non-evaluator colleagues when they ask me &dquo;What is evaluation?&dquo; (e.g., Issac and Michael, 1971; Weiss, 1972; Rutman and Mowbray, 1983; and Berk and Rossi, 1990). My major concern with these was the heavy emphasis on research said in the same breath as evaluation.
