Transformational Learning and Third-Wave Feminism as Potential Outcomes of Participation in Women’s

The focus of this study is on transformative learning in women’s enclaves. Women’s enclaves have been shown to be sites of sustaining deep relationships that initiate change in meaning perspective similar to that described by J. Mezirow’s (1991) trans-formational learning theory. A feminist consciousness, specifically a third-wave con-sciousness, can be a characteristic.
