This study was undertaken in connection with the author's investigations on the fauna of Homoptera Cicadinea of the Primorye Territory, with the aim of establishing the correct status of some still uninvestigated species of "Deltocephalus", "Thamno-tettix " and "Athysanus " described by the late Prof. S. Matsumura. Most of these species have been found outside of Japan and therefore they are not included in the tentative check list given by Ishihara (1953). The present investigation is possible only due to the kindness of Prof. C. Watanabe and Dr. S. Takagi.
