The Ruff Neurobehavioral Inventory (RNBI) is a self-report questionnaire designed to assess an individual’s ability to function in cognitive, emotional, physical, and psy-chosocial domains, before and after a major illness or injury (Ruff & Hibbard, 2003). The measure is designed to be used with men and women ages 18 to 75 who have at least a fourth-grade reading level and whose native language is English. The RNBI assesses an individual’s perception of his or her own premorbid and postmorbid health in two primary domains. The intrapersonal domain assesses the individual’s perception of his or her cog-nitive, emotional, and physical health. Within each of these domains, there are separate sub-scales.
