Clomiphene citrate, a selective estrogen receptor modulator, increases estradiol levels and consequently may increase risk of cancer of the uterine corpus. The authors conducted a retrospective cohort study of 8,431 US women (145,876 woman-years) evaluated for infertility during 1965–1988. Through 1999, 39 uterine cancers were ascertained by questionnaire or cancer and death registries. Poisson regression estimated adjusted rate ratios.
