Colorectal cancer (CRC) patients frequently have a poor prognosis because of metastases and drug resistance. Heat-shock protein 70 (Hsp70) over-expression in cancer may exacerbate these factors by inhibiting apoptosis, thus providing a potential therapeutic target.
