This paper addresses and summarizes the presence of the Italian language in the Albanian education system from the 18th century until the 19th century. The presentation of historical facts clearly indicates that the presence of Italian language and culture in Albania is the result of a close relationship between the two countries as well as good neighborly relations, which beside all of the ups and downs, caused by various historical events, have endured the test of time. These close relations demonstrate the connection not only between the two states but also between people who throughout history have proven that they desired this connection and it has been precisely this mutual regard, which has made possible the continuity of this link. ...
